Job Spec:
​
1. Purpose
-
To deliver professional, effective and customer focused Learning and Development for the business as part of the central team. Role is responsible for balancing group-wide functional responsibility for selected activity and specific business area account management (currently Construction and Residential). This encompasses the full learning lifecycle from: training needs analysis, developing learning solutions to managing and evaluating learning and development programmes to maximise people capability.

3. Main responsibilities (day to day activities that you need to deliver above)
-
Take the lead in establishing effective business relationships across a defined business area and provide value adding Learning and Development advice, guidance and process improvements.

Lead the annual Training Needs Analysis process for a defined business area, ensuring business alignment and contributing to the annual Group Training plan and budget.
-
Manage specific learning programmes. Including course design, review, vendor/ contract management.
-
Implement continuous improvement measures and ensure a clear return on investment for the business.
-
Oversee the L&D administration support for your learning programmes to ensure efficient and effective administration.
-
Strive for operational excellence across learning and development and consistently bring new ideas and innovation to the L&D team.

Manage agreed Learning and Development projects aligned with strategic business targets.

Ensure learning projects and programmes are on budget and provide accurate monthly reporting.

Contribute to the wider L&D/HR Team on business specific projects for example: LMS/ upgrades etc.
4. Local Variation

Travel to Site/office sites in the UK will be required – 1 day per week.

Qualifications:

Relevant professional qualification (CIPD) minimum.
Experience:

Currently working as a L&D Business Partner

This person should be currently working as a Learning Business Partner and looking for a new opportunity.

To be successful in this role you will have strong project and programme management skills and be experienced in business partnering.

You will be able to demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives, problem solving and a strong delivery focus.

You will be able to influence and communicate with stakeholders at all levels with a consulting approach.

1 L&D Manager, 1 Learning Business Partner (and this role) and 3 Learning and Development Assistants.
